Credit Analyst (Bilingual)

Position Summary:

The Bilingual Credit Analyst under the direction of the Leader, Credit is primarily responsible for researching and analyzing credit risks, assessing credit history and approving or denying extension of credit to potential customers. This team member has contact with other company departments, as well as automobile dealers and other finance and credit sources.

Responsibilities:

      • Analyze and evaluate credit applications under specific guidelines
      • Communicate with dealers and internal departments regarding accounts pending credit approval
      • Conduct reference investigations, document requirements and prepare credit presentations
      • Work in a high volume call centre environment requiring the use of multitasking skills
      • Clarify inquiries regarding policies and procedures to peers and clients
      • Promote and provide a high standard of service to the dealers and other areas within the company
      • Any and all other duties as may be required to meet Company objectives
      • Varying shift work ; these shifts may be further adjusted from time to time, by your Leader

Qualifications/Requirements:

      • The ideal candidate must be bilingual ( English and French)
      • Some Retail lease/loan or non-prime lending experience is required
      • Knowledge and understanding of basic credit bureau reports
      • Knowledge and understanding of detailed financial statement and ratio analysis
      • Minimum education of a College or University business diploma or equivalent experience
      • Minimum 2 years of direct lending experience, automotive preferred
      • Excellent report writing and communication skills (written and verbal)
      • Knowledge of standard office software
      • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
      • Successful Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
      • Vehicle and/or leasing experience would be considered a definite asset
      • The successful candidate must be detailed oriented, open to change, be able to work independently, be a team player, and organized

Funding Analyst (Bilingual)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

      • Audit lease packages received to ensure all documentation requirements have been met according to policies and procedures, ensuring the financials are accurate on the lease and that the leases follow the program parameters
      • Liaise with Dealers and Sales in the follow up of required documentation and provide support to dealers for various lease inquiries including assisting with the structuring of deals
      • Process a lien registration on each lease received to secure the company’s interest in the vehicle and priority over other creditors
      • Authorize the payment to the Dealer on a file that has met all requirements
      • Process the booking file and enter any additional required information
      • May also be required to process or initiate any changes to the initial lease booked and lien registration during the term of the lease (examples are Lease Assignment/Amendment, Extensions, Name Change, Payment Due Date Changes, and Relocation to Another Province)
      • Provide support on the queue lines to handle inbound calls from Dealers
      • Miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned/required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Technical Experience

      • High school diploma (GED or equivalent)
      • Proficient written and verbal skills in English and French
      • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office
      • Previous call centre experience is important but not a necessity

Experience

      • 1-2 years in an administrative/customer service role.
      • Previous leasing experience is considered an asset.
